Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Flash Source LLC (“Flash Source”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit https://flashsourcellc.com (the “Site”) or place an order, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Flash Source LLC is a limited liability company organized in New York.
1. Who we are
Flash Source LLC
13 Jean Ave, Loudonville, NY 12211, United States
Phone: (838) 988-3900
Email: info@flashsourcellc.com
Flash Source LLC is the controller of the personal information described below. If you have any question about this policy, email us at the address above and a person will answer you.
2. What we collect, and why
| Information | Why we have it |
|---|---|
| Name, shipping address, billing address, email address, phone number | To take payment for your order, ship it to you, and contact you about it |
| Order contents and order history | To fulfil your order, handle returns and refunds, and answer questions about a past purchase |
| Payment card details | We never see or store your full card number. Card details go directly to our payment processor (see section 4) |
| Account login details, if you create an account | So you can sign in and see your own orders. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash |
| Messages you send us through the contact form or by email | To answer you, and to keep a record of what was agreed |
| IP address, browser type, pages visited | Security (spotting abuse and fraud), and understanding which pages are useful |
We do not ask for and do not want information about your health, ethnicity, religion, politics or biometrics. Please do not send us any.
3. Why we are allowed to hold it
We process this information because it is necessary to perform the contract you enter into when you place an order, because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure shop and preventing fraud, because the law requires us to keep records of sales and tax, or because you gave consent — for marketing email, consent is the only basis we rely on, and you can take it back at any time.
4. Who else sees it
We share only what each party needs to do its job, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
- Stripe — processes card payments. Your card details go to Stripe directly; Flash Source receives only a confirmation and the last four digits. See Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- Shipping carriers (such as USPS and UPS) — receive the name and address on the parcel so it can be delivered, plus your email or phone if you asked for delivery notifications.
- Our hosting and email providers — hold the Site and our mailbox, and therefore technically hold the data stored in them.
- Government bodies, accountants and lawyers — only where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Some of these providers operate outside the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the provider’s own standard contractual protections.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — these keep your cart and your login working. The Site cannot function without them, so they are always on.
- Analytics cookies — these tell us, in aggregate, which pages people use. They are set only if you accept them.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Deleting the strictly necessary ones will empty your cart and sign you out.
6. Marketing email
We email you about an order you placed because we have to — that is not marketing. We send newsletters and offers only to people who asked for them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, it works immediately, and unsubscribing never affects an order you have already placed.
7. How long we keep it
- Order and tax records — seven years, because tax law requires it.
- Account details — until you ask us to close the account, then deleted other than what the tax record above requires us to keep.
- Contact form messages and email — up to three years, so we can see the history of a conversation.
- Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe.
- Security and server logs — up to twelve months.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop using it for marketing;
- stop or limit other processing, or object to it.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA additionally gives you the right to know what is collected and shared, the right to deletion, the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do neither — and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of them.
To use any of these rights, email info@flashsourcellc.com. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can ask for your data.
9. How we protect it
The whole Site runs over HTTPS. Payment card details never reach our servers. Administrative access requires an individual account, and we review who holds one. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach ever affects your personal information we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
10. Children
The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top, and for a significant change we will say so on the Site. Please check back from time to time.
12. Contact
